About me

Hey, I'm Jake a cybersecurity student and founder of Valink Solutions Ltd. based in Ontario, providing consulting, development, and graphic design services. While working on my bachelor's in cybersecurity, I'm building towards a future where I can help teach digital security across Canadian communities.

I started with Python but have since moved to systems and backend development using Rust, focusing on creating secure, practical solutions. Through Valink Solutions and my open-source contributions, I try to make technology more accessible to everyone. My experiences with ADHD and ASD have shaped how I approach problems and reinforced my belief in building inclusive technical solutions.

When I'm not studying or working on client projects, you'll find me contributing to open-source projects, gaming, or planning future educational initiatives. I'm passionate about sharing knowledge and making the digital world a bit safer for everyone.

Projects

  • CommandBlock Library

The CommandBlock library is a carefully crafted Rust library designed to parse and handle Minecraft data formats, including NBT and LevelDB. This library plays a crucial role in the Teller application, where it helps analyze Minecraft world data for efficient backups. Currently under active development, its core features are already integrated with Teller, showcasing its practical utility.

  • ChunkVault (A.K.A Teller)

Teller is a comprehensive Minecraft backup solution built with Rust. It is designed to facilitate both local backups and interfacing with the ChunkVault Backend. This dual functionality allows users to maintain local copies of their Minecraft worlds while also leveraging the secure storage capabilities of the ChunkVault Backend.
